Ugandan GirlIn a Bugisu village near Mbale, Uganda, I photographed this six year old girl. She speaks to me of the uncertain future facing many African children. The photograph included her little sister, but as I began to sculpt them, I knew this beautiful child had to stand alone, so I completed this sculpture before moving on to sculpt the two of them together. bronze | 16 x 5.25 x 6 in
